Beatrice (Bea) A (DePas) Pavlat

October 26, 1928 — June 17, 2018

Beatrice Alice Pavlat , Casco, beloved wife and mother, passed away on June 17, 2018. She was born on October 26, 1928 in Kewaunee, WI to the late Norman and Alice (Boucher) DePas. She grew up in Luxemburg and graduated from Luxemburg High School in 1946. Bea was a Girl Scout and played basketball in high school. She worked at Hoppe's store in Luxemburg during high school and after graduation.

Bea married Don Pavlat on May 11, 1948. They were blessed with seven children. She was a member of the National Society of Women Foresters, Holy Trinity Rosary Society, and the Casco American Legion Auxiliary. Bea organized the L-C Blood Drive for several years and was the Holy Trinity school librarian where she was affectionately known as "Granny Bea". She also filled in as cook at Holy Trinity. Bea was an officer on the various boards for Holy Trinity School and Parish. Bea worked for 20 years at the L-C Food Pantry and served as its director for a number of years. She helped organize the Casco Lioness Club, was a charter member, and served as an officer in all of the various capacities. She also served as a Lioness officer at the District and State Levels.

Bea is survived by her children and their spouses, Sherrie (Carl) Hedstrom, Terrie (Greg) Gabriel, Jackie (Mike) Peot, Vicki (Rick) Petersen, Perry (Fran) Pavlat, Polly (Jim) Gomand, and Barry (Marge) Pavlat. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 8 step great-grandchildren and 1 foster great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sister, Darlene Adamson; and brother, David (Tammy) DePas.

Bea was preceded in death by her husband, Don; her parents, Norman and Alice DePas; brother Myron DePas; sister Joyce Basten; brothers-in-law, Lyle Basten and Warren Adamson; sister-in-law, Karen DePas; niece, Kim Zwack; 2 great-grandsons, Isaac and Caleb Strey. Also preceding her in death were her in-laws, Emil and Anna Pavlat; brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Veronica Pavlat; and nephew, John Pavlat.

Visitation will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Casco, Thursday, June 21, 2018, from 4 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Friday, June 22, 2018 at Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home, Casco from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Fr. Milton Suess officiating.  Burial will follow in the Holy Trinity Cemetery. Online condolence messages may be shared on the tribute wall.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking that you make donations to the Sisters of St. Francis of the Holy Cross, 3110 Nicolet Dr., Green Bay, WI 54311 or to the Wisconsin Lions Camp, 3834 County Rd. A, Rosholt, WI 54473.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Autumn Fields for the excellent care they provided during Bea's stay.
