Allen (Al) J. Dellemann, age 73 passed away peacefully, on Monday, February 7, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. He was the oldest son of Aloys and Gertrude (Andrastek) Dellemann, born November 26, 1948 in Kewaunee.
Al attended Kewaunee High School and graduated class of 1966. He worked at Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry for 25 years. Al grew up on a farm and continued to operate his own farm for a few years. He also drove milk truck for East Krok Cheese. He was a long-standing member of St. Hedwig Church where he took pride in taking care of the various needs of the church.
He loved to work in his large vegetable garden, spend his weekends with his wife Sue at the camper and take winter vacations to warm destinations. He was never a man to be sitting still; always said there was something he could be doing.
Al married the love of his life, Sue Hamilton on July 3, 1971 in Antigo, WI. In 2021 they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Mass with Bishop David Ricken at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral.
More than anything Al loved his family and cherished his role as husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Survivors include his wife, Sue, his children: Andy (Jamie) Dellemann, Kewaunee, Becky (Brian) Zuege, Rosemount, MN, Scott (fiancée Kim) Dellemann, DePere; his grandchildren: AJ, Calen, Carly, Dylan, Austin, Makayla, Bella, Harper and great-grandson Cashton. Further survived by his siblings: Mary (Dave) Gurnee; Carol Michalek; Mike Dellemann; Gary Dellemann; Jean (Dave) Dax; Danny Dellemann; Betty Dellemann; Bev (Byron) Frank, sisters/brothers-in-law: Al Brown, Tony (Teresa) Brown, Mike Brown, DeDe (Steve) Wilcenski, Judy (Virl) Baldridge, Doris (Joe) McGlone, Elizabeth Hamilton and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Aloys and Gertrude, mother/step-father-in-law Mary & William Brown, father/step-mother-in-law Arthur & Genevieve Hamilton, brothers Steve and Dickie, sister Ann, sister & brother-in-law Doris & Marvin Borths, brothers-in-law Allen Michalek, Bill Brown and Jerry Hamilton.
Friends may call after 9:30 am Monday, February 14 at St. Hedwig Church East Krok, E3306 Krok Rd., Kewaunee until time of service. Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 am by Father Dennis Drury and assisted by Christal Wavernick. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
