Shirley Mae Vandermause , 90, Casco. Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on December 9, 2017. Shirley was born October 3, 1927 to the late Edward and Blanche (Gilson) Joniaux in Thiry Daems, Wisconsin.
Shirley married Ervin Vandermause on July 10, 1946 at St. Odile's Catholic Church in Thiry Daems. Together they farmed in Casco and raised 7 children. Shirley enjoyed farming, sewing, gardening and bird watching. She loved to babysit for her many grandchildren. Shirley was a very religious woman, who was devoted to Mary and the Rosary. She was a lifetime parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Casco.
Shirley is survived by her children Christine (Ywain) Waldow, Kathy (Dennis) Spitzer, Marci (Dan) Seiler, Chuck (Jane) Vandermause, Cindy (Rick) Wautlet, Tom Vandermause, and Pat (Perry) Dalebroux; grandchildren Scott (Dawn) Waldow, Tammy (Bill) Bredael, Jamie (Kelli) Spitzer, Andrea (Jason) Patza, Sarah (Jason) Bovee, Lori Seiler, Jacki (Josh) Levitas, Steven (Cherity) Seiler, Robin (Steve) Frei, Matthew (Jessica) Vandermause, William (Angela) Vandermause, Jesse (Christy) Wautlet, Krista (Jacob) Kinnard, Melissa (Justin) Parkos, Craig (Sammie) Wautlet, Mary (John) Fisher, Paul Triviski, Will Triviski, Theresa (Bernie) Jacobson, Megan Dalebroux (Mike) and Lauren Dalebroux (Logan) ; great-grandchildren Ethan, Emily, Alli, Chloie, Natalie, Jacob, Roman, Blake, Isla, Esme, Lilly, Daven, Dylan, Ellie, Gwen, Tommy, Isabella, Leo, Claira, Henry, Charlie, Emma, Inara, Elias, Dominick, Annabelle, Abiliene, Jayce, Olivia, Lucy, Ella, Jude, Devon, Dalton, Lillian, Alicia, Matthew, Martina, Elle, Maddy, Sierra, Ava, and Katlyn, Shirley is also survived by her brother Laurel (Sandy) Joniaux; sister Jody (Larry) Vandertie, and in-laws Annette Joniaux, Erna (Wallace) Vandenhouten and Joan Sacotte; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband Ervin; parents Edward and Blanche Joniaux; mother-in-law and father-in-law August and Ida Vandermause; daughter-in-law Maria Vandermause; grandchildren Nicholas Vandermause and Jonathan Wautlet; and great-granddaughter Madison Frei; brother Ron Joniaux; brothers-in-law and sisters -in-law Ken Landwehr, Francis Sacotte, Ray (Fern) Bouche, Ethel (Norman) Wautier, Orville (Flo) Vandermause, Richard (Gloria) Vandermause, and Pearl (Melvin) DeJardin.
Visitation will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Luxemburg on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 from 8 to 11 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM with Fr. Milton Suess officiating.
