March 10, 1938 — March 28, 2016

Ronald B. "Ron" Wendricks , 78, Rio Creek, passed away the morning of Monday, March 28, 2016, at Rennes Nursing Home, with his family by his side.

Ron was born March 10, 1938, in Rosiere, son of the late Edward and Ruby (DeChamps) Wendricks. He was a 1956 graduate of Casco High School. On July 5, 1958, he married Phoebe C. Moreau at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Lincoln.

Ron worked in the manufacturing industry for several companies in the area. The companies at which he spent the bulk of his career were Algoma Wood Industries; Calumet Manufacturing; and Monarch Ware. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, although woodworking was one of his true talents. Over the years he created many pieces of furniture for his children and grandchildren. Ron's hobbies also included hunting, fishing, and playing cards. Upon his retirement, you could frequently find Ron and Phoebe enjoying a meal or two at the Village Kitchen in Casco. Ever the jokester, Dad always enjoyed putting a smile on everyone's face.

Survivors include Phoebe, his loving wife of 57 years; his three children: daughter, Cheryl (Jake) Lautenbach, Casco; daughter Terrie (Chuck Hildebrandt) Wendricks, Chicago, IL; and son, Barry (Kelly) Wendricks, DePere; four grandchildren: Jacob (Stacy) Lautenbach, Smyrna, GA; Scot Lautenbach, Casco; and Cami and Carli Wendricks, DePere; brother Roland (Laverne) Wendricks, Luxemburg; three sisters: Joyce Fitzgerald, Thornton, CO; Judy (Tom) Mix, Green Bay; and Sandy DeBroux, Casco; and one sister-in-law: Mildred Moreau, Casco. Ron is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Armand (Pat) Wendricks and Edward (Beverly) Wendricks, Jr.; brothers-in-law Thomas Fitzgerald and Frank DeBroux; sisters-in-law Lorraine (Anthony) Deprey, Gladys (Harry) Jandrin; and brother-in-law Mose Moreau.

Friends may call at Wiesner-Massart Funeral Home, Casco, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, and again Saturday morning at the funeral home until 10:00am. Rosary is scheduled for 7:00pm on Friday. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30am on Saturday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Lincoln, Fr. Tim Shillcox and Deacon Paul Zenefski presiding.
