Michael J. Marit , 66, of Algoma passed away peacefully at home on December 22, 2017. He was born to the late Clarence and Julia (Schaefer) Marit on May 21, 1951, in the town of Casco. On June 11, 1983 he married Terry (Geier) Marit at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Kewaunee. Mike owned and operated JMJ Vending. In his spare time Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the woods, and raising beef cattle.
Mike is survived by his wife Terry; children Amy (Dane) Schepp, Michael (Brittney) Marit, Shane Marit; grandchildren Cade Marit, Emmett Schepp; brothers Clarence (Rosie) Marit, Donald (Betty) Marit; sisters Julie Kleiman, Jackie (Bill) Jahnke; brother-in-law Scott Geier; sisters-in-law Sue (Dave) Jerabek, Tammy (Todd) Paral; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Julia Marit; father-in-law and mother-in-law Alfred and Gloria (Musil) Geier; two sisters Carol (Dino) Curi, Delores Haase; brother-in-law Dave Kleiman.
Visitation will be held Tuesday December 26, 2017 at Wiesner and Massart Funeral Home, Casco, from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Funeral will follow at 11AM at Holy Trinity Church, Casco, with Father Milton Suess officiating. Online condolences may be expressed here .
