Julia Helena (Swoboda) Shimek - Julia answered the call to our creator January 5th, 2012. She was born May 16, 1920 to John and Mary (Koss) Swoboda at Gregorville in the town of Lincoln. She attended the Groegorville School and the Algoma High School. She married Clyde Francis Shimek on September 28th, 1938 at St Mary's Church in Algoma.
They lived on a farm near Casco. She worked at the Algoma Plywood, then as Postmaster at the Casco Post office until her retirement in 1985. She loved to do crafts such as: knitting, crocheting, swedish weaving and quilting. She also did oil painting and stone painting. While in Phoenix Arizona for the winter she taught Aquarobics in the pool.
Survivors are her husband of 73 years Clyde F Shimek.
Son Clyde Glen Shimek of Gilbert, AZ. Daughter Daune Mary (Shimek) and Son In Law Jim Sisel of Casco, WI. Son In Law Wally Adams and his wife Laurie.

Preceding her in death are two daughters, Lynette Ann (Shimek) Adams-Baraboo, WI and Emma Darlene Shimek, Casco, WI. Two grandchildren, Karen Michelle Adams-Baraboo, WI and John David Sisel, Casco, WI.
Brothers and Sisters: Carolyn ( Swoboda-Clark) Golhke, Joe (Budd) and Katie ( Daul) Swoboda, Ann (Swoboda) and her husband George Romdenne, John and Myrtle (Jennerjohn) Swoboda, Charles and Edna(Tlachac) Swoboda, Emily Swoboda, Mary Swoboda.

Visitation will be at Wiesner and Massart Funeral Home in Casco on Monday, January 9, 2012 from 4 to 8 P.M. and again at the funeral home on Tuesday morning until 10 A.M. There will be a prayer service Monday evening at 6:30P.M. with Deacon Bob Miller. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Casco on Tuesday at 10:30 A.M. with Father Milton Suess officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
