Jeanette E. (Fameree) Vandervest

October 19, 1934 — October 31, 2016

Jeanette "Jiggers" E. (Fameree) Vandervest , 82, Casco passed away peacefully October 31, 2016 at Unity's Jack and Engrid Meng Hospice in De Pere, WI. Jeanette was born to the late Ernest and Emma (Delain) Fameree on October 19, 1934 in Casco. She attended Casco Grade School and Casco High School. On March 5, 1957 she was united in marriage to Dale Vandervest at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Casco. Dale was in the U.S. Coast Guard so the family traveled extensively for 20 years.

She was a member of Holy Rosary Altar Society, sang in Holy Trinity choir, VFW Auxiliary in Kewaunee, worked part-time at NWTC in Luxemburg, and enjoyed going to Holy Trinity School to help out with different things. Jeanette's most precious time was spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo, and watching Frankie, her son and daughter-in-law's pet beagle.

Jeanette is survived by her husband Dale; her son Chad (Nancy) Vandervest; three daughters, Pam (John) Pelishek, Kim (Bill) Pelishek, and Gail (Scott) Zirbel; six grandchildren, Aaron (Nicole) Stroebel, Broc Stroebel, Nicole Pelishek, Jake Pelishek, Amanda Vandervest, and Zach (Viola) Vandervest; five great-grandchildren, Melanie, Hannah, Jacob, Levi, and Noah; three sisters, Ethel Heier, Elsie Gengler, and Rita (Loyd) Heraly; two brothers, Frank Fameree and Ernie (Mary Ellen) Fameree; sisters-in-law, Joanne Fameree, Mary Ann Fameree, and Tobi Sterret.

She was preceded in death by one son Joseph; granddaughter Jessica Vandervest; two sisters, Betty (Joseph) Arendt and Emmy (Rudy) Hanaman; seven brothers, Bernard, Ervin, Joseph, Orville (Audrey), Sam, James, and Allen; brothers-in-law, Dr. Merle Nelson, Gene Heir, and Alois Gengler.

Friends may call at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church from 8:00 to 11:00 am, Thursday, November 3, 2016. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am with Fr. Milton Suess officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Wiesner & Massart Funeral Homes is assisting the family. Online condolences may be shared here .
