Gilbert R. Delwiche, age 95 of Casco, was called to Heaven and died peacefully on June 1, 2012 at Aurora Hospital in Green Bay. Gilbert was born January 14, 1917 in the Township of Casco in Kewaunee County. He was the son of the late Charles and Josephine (Massart) Delwiche. He was united in marriage to Marie VanEss on May 7, 1946. Marie preceded him in death on December 9, 2001. Gilbert served in the U.S. Army during World War II and after the war lived on his farm in Casco until 2010.
Gilbert was a diehard Packer fan and enjoyed watching his favorite football team from its beginning at City Stadium (now Green Bay East High School). He also loved playing cards with his family and friends.
Gilbert is survived by one daughter, Bonnie Gillis, Appleton; and two sons, Tom (Laura) Delwiche, Green Bay; and Clovis (Cissy) Delwiche, Sikeston, Missouri. He has five grandchildren, Mike Gillis, Greenville; Brenda (John) Juli, Lawton, Oklahoma; Molly and Caitlin Delwiche, Green Bay; and Jean Marie (Jeromy) Towe, Sikeston, Missouri. There are 3 great-grandchildren; Isiah Delwiche, Christian Juli and Trenton Towe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marie, his sister Ella Fameree, his brothers Walter Delwiche, Joe Delwiche and Jack Delwiche, and a grand-daughter, Jennifer Gillis.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Carrington Manor Assisted Living who attended to Gilbert during his last years. A special thank you goes out to Russ and Barb, dad's friends and neighbors for their loving care through the years.
