Cecelia (DeVillers) Kruswick

August 3, 1933 — March 12, 2015

Cecelia M. Kruswick, 81, of Algoma, passed away on Thursday March 12, 2015, with her family by her side at Algoma Long Term Care Unit. She was born August 3, 1933 in Lincoln to Aloysius and Cecelia (Charles) DeVillers. On April 11, 1953 she married Warren Kruswick, at St. Hubert Catholic Church, in Rosiere. He preceded her in death on October 6, 2010. Cecelia enjoyed working in her garden, tending to her flowers, working on the farm, and keeping a very clean house. In her spare time, she also enjoyed baking, shopping, and taking care of her children and all of her grandchildren. Cecelia was a spiritual person and prayed the rosary often.

Cecelia is survived by her children Sue (Tom) Torstenson, Michael (Peggie) Kruswick, Cynthia (Gerald) Vernosh, Bruce (fiancAC. Paula) Kruswick, Dennis (Lisa) Kruswick, and Candace (Scott) Kolstad; grandchildren Ann (Shane) Maedke, Matthew Reinhart, Kristopher (Marion) Kruswick, Katharine (David) St. Onge, Katie (special friend Michael) Krautkramer, Elyse (Brett) Kuhn, Brandon Kruswick, Alex Kruswick, James Kruswick, Taylor Kruswick, Corey Kruswick, Amber Kolstad, and Caleb Kolstad; two step-grandchildren Casey Coggins and Tylor Torstenson; great-grandchildren Jordyn, Justen, Dane, Grant, Charlotte, and Brennan; one brother Edward DeVillers; sisters-in-law Carol DeVillers and Carol (James) Detempel. Cecelia was preceded in death by three grandchildren Jacob Francis Kruswick and two little angels; as well as one brother Ronald DeVillers.

Visitation will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Algoma on Tuesday March 17, 2015 from 9:30 to 11 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 A.M. with Fr. Ron Colombo officiating. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared here .
