Anne M. Pallex , 97, Algoma, passed away Monday, November 28, 2016. She was born November 7, 1919 in Brussels to the late Henry and Emma (Massart) Renier. Anne married Siegfried Pallex, who preceded her in death on March 22, 1993, on September 21, 1948.
Anne worked on her dads farm in Misere until the age of 28 yrs. While working fulltime at the Plumbers Woodwork / Olsonite Corporation she met her husband. Soon they started their family and she became a stay at home mom raising her children. In 1965 she returned to fulltime employment at the Olsonite Corporation working 3rd shift until the time of her retirement at the age of 72 yrs. in 1991.
Anne instilled strong family values and work ethic in her children.
She enjoyed all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed working in the flower gardens north of Algoma on County Rd. S in her retirement years. She was very talented at crocheting afghans, baby blankets, gloves, hats, etc.
She is survived by her children, Mark Pallex, Diane Zellner, Ken (Debbie) Pallex, Randy (Sue) Pallex, Kevin Pallex, Jeff (Kim) Pallex, Lisa (Jerry) Tahlier, and Jeanne Pallex; her grandchildren, David Pallex, Tammy Wildgrube, Joe Zellner, John Zellner (Lisa MaGradey), Robin (Jim) Kinstetter, Jason (Rachel) Zellner, Jenny Pallex (Toni White), Brian Pallex (Holly Anchutz), Rachel (Alan) Schmidt, Adam Pallex, Donna (Brian) Lackie, Jessica (Jessie) Marler, Daniel Pallex, and Vincent Pallex; 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Anne was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Siegfried F. Pallex; sons Daniel H. Pallex and Brian D. Pallex as well as 2 infants; her mother and father Henry and Emma (Massart) Renier; brothers, Elmer Renier and Clarance Renier; sisters, Viola Englebert and Hazel Baudhuin; and son-in-law, Donald Zellner.
Visitation will be held at Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home - Algoma from 3-8 PM on Thursday, December 1, 2016 with Rosary at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue Friday, December 2, 2016 from 9:30-11:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am with Fr. Peter Stryker and Deacon Mark Hibbs officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Online condolence messages may be shared here .
