Anna May (Hanmann) Pavlat

March 20, 1945 — April 20, 2013

Anna May Pavlat, 68, of Algoma (Rio Creek), passed away on Saturday April 20, 2013 surrounded by her family and friends after a short battle with cancer. She was born March 20, 1945 in Casco to the late Walter Sr.and Eleanora (Marit) Hanmann. Anna May married Wayne Pavlat on July 17, 1965 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Casco. Together they farmed in Rio Creek. Anna May was an amazing wife, mom, and grandma who took great pride in her grandchildren. She spent many hours by the family pond fishing and swimming. She liked to play bingo with Jennie and Gail. She and her husband Wayne enjoyed traveling to Mexico with Steve and Jill.

She is survived by her husband Wayne; two children Carey Pavlat, Algoma; Chad (Jennie) Pavlat, Algoma; three grandchildren Whitney, Haleigh, and Ethan Pavlat; one brother William (Gail) Hanmann; one sister Fay (Ron) Prodell; brother-in-law Edward Koss; and sister-in-law Eileen Hanmann; and many nieces and nephews. Anna May was preceded in death by one sister Lois Koss; one brother Walter (Bruder) Hanmann; as well as her mother-in-law and father-in-law Harold (Mildred) Pavlat.

Visitation will be held at Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home in Casco on Monday April 22, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. and again Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service at church. Prayer Service will be held on Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday April 23, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St John's Lutheran Church in Luxemburg with Pastor Carl Brewer officiating. Wayne and the family wish to extend a thank-you to Dr. Mansky, Bellin Health nursing staff, and Unity Hospice for their care they gave to Anna May. Also a very special thank-you to her dear friend Gail Bruening for all her compassion she gave to Anna May during her battle with cancer. The Pavlat family appreciates all the care and concern shown to Anna May from friends and family.

Thank-you Grandma for all the memories you gave us. We will miss you!
